Soucek had an offer from England, Schick from England and France. Clubs were not interested in releasing them, says Pasek’s agent

The summer transfer period was certainly the best in the whole football history. But not so successful for Czech clubs or players. Slavia made the biggest transfer of a Czech player when they sold David Zima to Turin. What about Soucek and Schick? Football agent Pavel Paska spoke about their possible transfers in an interview for Seznam Zprávy.

The transfer of David Zima to Torino can be considered the only big transfer of a Czech footballer at the beginning of the 2021/22 season, if we don’t count the guest option of Alex Kral at West Ham.

But it could have been much better. Several players who are in the stable of agent Pavel Paska, who has represented Tomas Rosicky and Milan Baros in the past, had nice offers.

Mr. Paska even said in an interview with Seznam Zprávy that Patrik Schick was offered in the last week, but it was not possible to make such a transfer.

“It was impossible to make the transfer in one day. Those interested in Patrik Schick, but also in Tomáš Souček, were of course contacted earlier in the summer. In Soucek’s case from England, in Schick’s case from France and England. And in both cases I got the same answer.

The clubs where Patrik and Tomas are now were not interested in releasing them, looking for replacements, etc. Even the hypothetical sums for which the Czech players would be valued by their current employers were, in the current covid constellation, beyond the reach of potential buyers,” he said.

He also added that the sums for which both players would leave would have to exceed 50 million euros.
