Soucek and Coufal could get a big defensive reinforcement from Chelsea

West Ham are trying to take advantage of the situation and are luring Kurt Zouma into their ranks, offering around £20m for him. However, Chelsea have more options and it all depends on what kind of stopper they can bring in.
The Blues have already tried Raphael Varane, but he is heading to Manchester United. Now, Thomas Tuchel has pointed to Jules Kounde, for whom he is offering Kurt Zouma plus money.
However, according to Spanish media reports, Sevilla want too high an amount and so the transfer is not at all certain. Even less likely then is a move of the French stopper to Sevilla.
And it is this situation that West Ham want to take advantage of, which could send around £20 million to Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea could then use to pay Kounde.
Zouma moved to London in 2014 and was set to become the future leader of the Blues’ back line. Only, he spent most of his time on loan and never settled properly in the starting line-up.
Speculation then suggests that Thomas Tuchel is not counting on the 26-year-old stopper either. The German coach prefers more technical players, which with all due respect Zouma is not. Rather, he is a powerful thunderer, but he is strong in the air and takes balls well.
He has, after all, racked up 165 starts in the Premier League, in which he has enjoyed 9 goals. Zouma has also featured in the Champions League, specifically in 22 matches and has also enjoyed one goal in the net for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He would fit right in at West Ham, who are known for their power game, and together with Issa Diop, could form a great duo. After all, both Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid are 33 years old.
So David Moyes needs to act fast and this transfer presents itself as a great opportunity that could benefit both West Ham and Chelsea with Sevilla.
