Ludovít Klein is one of two Slovakian fighters in the UFC, but his position is in jeopardy as he has two losses under his belt. In just one week, he can repair his reputation, as he took a last minute fight and will compete at UFC 272.
The Slovakian fighter hasn’t exactly had an ideal year in 2021. He’s had two fights in the best MMA organization in the world and lost both of them.
In May, Ludovít Klein was no match for Michael Trizan, whom he lost to on points. In October, he was caught by Nate Landwehr in the third round on a submission.
In the UFC, Klein now has an unflattering 1-2 record, with an outstanding 17-4 record over his career.
According to some media and experts, his position in the UFC is in jeopardy, so he desperately needs a win to earn more fights. In addition to winning, the fact that he has now accepted a last-minute fight may also help him.
Klein officially announced on social media on Friday that he will be featured at the upcoming UFC 272 event, which will be headlined by Colby Covington’s fight with Jorge Masvidal. The Slovakian fighter will take on Devonte Smith.
“I’mreally looking forward to it. Again, it came at a very short notice, but I know I’m ready and that my team and I did a good job. That’s the way I like it. We will do everything we can to bring a win to Slovakia,” Klein said on Instagram.
