Slovácko already knew before the last game against Partizan that it had no chance to qualify for the spring part of the Conference League, so it came to Serbia to say goodbye to its participation in the European Cup and try to make it difficult for the home team Partizan to advance.

The first match ended 3-3, with Slovácko leading, but Partizan managed to turn the match around even when shorthanded. Before the end of the match, however, the Czech team managed to grab at least a point.

Both teams started the match very nervously and we could see a lot of inaccuracies. Slovácko got the first chance when Holzer got to a deflected ball after a corner, but his shot was blocked.

However, the home team was more active in the attacking half. However, the Czech team defended well and didn’t let Partizan into bigger chances. The first problem came before the end of the half when Kalabiška played with his hand and the home team got the advantage of a penalty kick.

Natcho was on the penalty spot, and he headed it right to the bar. Goalkeeper Nguyen jumped to the other side. Partizan took the lead 1: 0. In the second half, Slovácko was the first to show up again.

Kalabiskova’s shot was blocked by a defender but just missed the goal. After a corner, Šimko got a shot from outside the box, but his shot was again blocked. It looked like it was going to end up behind the goalkeeper’s back, as it flew into his opposite arm, but he deflected it with a fantastic reflex.

In the 60th minute, Partizan also threatened when after a bad pass, Natcho intercepted the ball and headed it towards goal. He crossed in front of the whitewash, but Slovácko managed to cover the shot. After ten minutes, Slovácko threatened again when they got the ball to the small area, but Mihálik couldn’t get the finish.

Slovácko did not give up and it paid off. The Partizan goalkeeper headed the ball, which reached Tomic, who immediately fired from the first and after a run by Mihálik the ball went into the net. Slovácko levelled the match at 1: 1.

The equalizer gave the Czech team a boost, they pushed forward more and managed to close down their opponent in front of the whitewash. However, no big chances came.

Five minutes before the end, Tomic had a huge opportunity and headed into the back of the net. But the ball ended up just outside the box. Instead of joy, disappointment could quickly come when Partizan also threatened. But Nguyen surely intervened after the header.

Nothing changed in the Partizan and Slovácko match. Slovácko took the points in the coefficient and Partizan, after the draw, advanced from the second place to the spring fights. If they had won today, they would have advanced from the first position.
