Prague’s Eden, the sanctuary of Slavia, will host the final match of the European Conference League next season!
The decision was made by the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations. The FAČR had competition from five countries, namely Greece, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Slovakia and Israel.
UEFA granted the Czech Football Association an exemption to the stadium’s capacity, as Eden can only accommodate around 19,000 people.
The match will be played on 7 June 2023 and Slavia will have a big incentive to get in. But the road will certainly be a thorny one.
The Sešiovans still don’t know where they will finish, but if they stay in second place, the EKL will be the maximum they will be able to achieve in Europe.
On the other hand, first place would put them in the Champions League preliminary rounds, from which there would be a chance that they could play at least the group stage of the Europa League.
