The group stage of the European Conference League is already drawn and both Czech teams in this competition, Slavia Prague and Slovácko, already know their opponents. What opponents have they got and how do the remaining groups look like?
The first team drawn was Turkish Basaksehir, who will be in Group A. They can look forward to a tough opponent, namely Fiorentina. They will then face Hearts and RFS from Latvia.
West Ham will be the favourites in Group B. The other team drawn in the second basket is FCSB from Romania, who advanced with a goal in stoppage time. The third team in the group is Belgium’s Anderlecht, with Silkeborg last.
In Group C we find Villarreal, who will play Israel’s Hapoel Beer-Sheva, Austria’s Austria Vienna and Poland’s Lech Poznan.
Partizan – the runners-up to Prague’s Sparta in last year’s EKL – will play Group D against Cologne of Germany, Nice of France and Slovácko, who will have a tough battle for points.
AZ Alkmaar has been drawn in Group E. Its opponents will be Apollon Limassol, Liechtenstein’s Vaduz and Ukraine’s Dnipro.
Belgium’s Gent will play in Group F, which includes Norway’s Molde, Ireland’s Shamrock and last but not least Sweden’s Djurgarden.
Slavia has been drawn as the penultimate team in the first basket and will play Group G. They will travel to Romania, where they will face Cluj, but also to Turkey, where they will play Sivaspor. The last team in Group G is Ballkani from Kosovo.
Basel will also play in Group H against Bratislava Slovan, which may well be one of the Czech teams. The other teams in this group are Zalgiris and Pjunik Yerevan.
