Slavia with Cluj like Sparta with Viking? We are laughable, sad fans. How does the public react to another loss of the Susians?
On Thursday, Slavia Prague wanted to atone not only for last week’s home loss to Cluj, but also for the league defeat at Sigma Olomouc. But it failed. They lost in Romania and again did not score a goal. How is the public reacting?

Slavia failed to beat Cluj even in the second game
A week ago Thursday, the fans of Slavia Prague got an unpleasant surprise. The Sešívans, as a favourite, welcomed Romanian Cluj in Eden. But instead of a victory, a defeat came. And this despite a clear superiority. Jindřich Trpišovský’s charges lost 0:1.
Another blow came at the weekend. Slavia played on the ground of Sigma Olomouc, which won 2: 0 after a heroic performance. Although the Prague team had the game advantage, they threw away all their chances and could have scored more than two goals after cheap mistakes.
The second most successful Czech club in history went to Cluj with a clear goal. To make up for the losses. Despite the large number of players. But in the 11th minute, Peter Olayinka “threw a fork”, which led to Cluj kicking a penalty.
Slavia again took chances, but couldn’t convert. And they learned a lesson in efficiency. In the 84th minute, they got their second goal and it was all over. Frustration was evident on the players. The loss puts the Prague team in an awkward situation.
Public reaction
Another loss, to Cluj, naturally drew a wave of reactions from all sides. For example, the popular Neobjektivní Novinář compared Slavia’s cup match to the memorable game between rival Sparta and Viking, which the Susians like to recall.
One fan admitted that he preferred to watch Ulica. He even committed to The Wife Swap.
However, various insinuations and criticisms were often made, especially towards the Slavs’ productivity. Some fans are running out of patience.
They are also sorry about the game. Slavia is definitely not as sovereign and dominant as it was not so long ago. According to some fans, Jindřich Trpišovský has nothing left to give to the team.
