Slavia must use the squad and make money after the end in Europe. But will anyone be interested?

Last year they reached the semi-finals of the European Championships, this year the Danes will be one of the black horses of the World Championships in Qatar. Former Slavia player Alexander Bah is not in the original nomination, but he still has a chance to make it to the tournament.

While last season, in all transfer periods, there was speculation about two or three stars of Slavia who could leave, this year there are no names on the table. The Sesshivans have had their weakest cup semester in years, but after failing to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference, they need to get their money back somewhere. Just where will it go?

Last winter there were rumours about Daniel Samko, Alexander Baha or Tomas Holesa, this summer again about Baha, there was also interest in Yiro Sor or Aihama Ousou. And deservedly so, all players have made a significant impact on the road to the Conference quarterfinals.

This year, however, key players for the Red and White have been plagued by health issues and no one has made a significant impact. Out of the trio of Lukas Provod, Petr Shevcik, Holeš, someone was constantly injured, Sor wasn’t playing when he did, Ousou fell into mediocrity next to Kacharaba, and none of the summer reinforcements had the impact that was expected when they were bought.

David Jurasek should be the biggest attraction for European buyers. Not only because of his three assists in the group stage and two in qualifying, at 22 he was easily the best player for Slavia in the group. Reliable in defence, dangerous in attack, good at corner kicks.

He has great parameters for a left-back in European football, but Jindřich Trpišovský will definitely not let him go. The unwritten rule at Slavia is “if the offer of a lifetime doesn’t come, we will sell you within a year and a half of your arrival at Slavia.”

Jurásek has been at the club for a year, but that in itself is not that important. He is a young player and Slavia wants to work with them in the long term.

Peter Olayink’s contract expires in the summer and if he doesn’t plan to extend it, it would be wise of Slavia to let him go in the winter and make at least some money. At least two million euros could land in the club’s coffers.

Susiani cannot afford to let go of other sources of income. Ousou has definitely built a name for himself in a year and a half, but Slavia will not sell the stopper given the situation in defence.

Oscar Dorley may also be one of Slavia’s best players, but he is a quiet man who is taking a long time to adapt to his new surroundings. Moreover, he is comfortable working with Jindřich Trpišovský, so he has no reason to leave.

Therefore, Slavia cannot really make a lot of money through any player, which they cashed in for Tomáš Souček, Vladimír Coufal or Baha in the past. But at least they have to narrow down the squad, otherwise it will be a fight to the death.
