There is nothing to worry about in goal, Ales Mandous is the clear leader at the start of the season. Aiham Ousou will start at stopper, but there is a question mark next to him. Eduardo Santos is already healed and has trained with the team, but Jindřich Trpišovský is considering dropping Tomáš Holeš.

There is also uncertainty on the edges of the defence. On the left side, Trpišovský has the excellent Jurásek at his disposal, and he hinted at the press conference that he is close to the lineup. However, at the same time Oscar Dorley has recovered and is getting priority in cup games.

Ivan Schranz started at right-back last week, but this experiment is unlikely to be repeated and the Slovakian international could move into attack. David Douděra or Lukáš Masopust could get some space on the right side of the defence.

In case of Holeš’s demotion, the central trio would probably be Tiéhi – Ševčík – Traoré. Alternatively, it is possible to leave out one midfielder in favour of inserting Ondrej Lingr on the sub, but he showed again at the weekend that he is very useful as a joker and Trpišovský will probably use him on Thursday as well.

The question is what to do with Peter Olayinka. He still had health problems on Wednesday and Trpišovský was vague about his health. If he wasn’t available, there would be practically three options. Usor on one side and Schranz on the other, with Tecl coming in at the back.

Alternatively, Trpišovský could point to the Douděra-Masopust partnership on the right, which proved its worth against Pardubice. On the other side, Usor would start and Schranz on the tip. Yira Sor should be fit for at least part of the game.

Probable line-up of Slavia::

Mandous
Douděra – Ousou – Holeš – Jurásek
Tiéhi – Ševčík
Masopust – Traoré – Usor
Schranz

Second option:

Mandous
Douděra – Ousou – Eduardo – Oscar
Holeš – Ševčík
Usor – Traoré – Schranz
Tecl
