Eight finals of the European Conference League saw Slavia Prague and LASK Linz clash. The Prague team was the favourite and confirmed it from the start of the match.
In the third minute, Yira Sor showed his quality by shooting through the visitors’ goalkeeper and sending his team into the lead. He burned a couple of chances, but managed to increase the lead.
In the 29th minute, he ran at the goalkeeper alone, rounded him and headed the ball into the empty net. Seven minutes later, Mads Emil Madsen could have scored Slavia’s third goal, but goalkeeper Alexander Schlager kept him out.
The second half was even more interesting than the first. After five minutes Sor could have completed his hat-trick, but he ran so close to the goalkeeper that it was difficult to beat him.
In the 59th minute, Miloš Pudil could have scored on his debut, but he didn’t find the goalkeeper. The subsequent shot into the empty net by Alexander Bah ended only on the bar.
In the 66th minute, Peter Olayinka fired a successful shot, but only hit the crossbar. Olayinka then counter-attacked, kicking the ball into his own net to Husein Balic, who cut it to 1:2 from distance.
LASK rushed for the equaliser, but Slavia managed to strike again. A beautiful shot by Aiham Ousou didn’t end up in the net, but a minute later he shot through the defence and goalkeeper Olayinka to atone for the goal.
In the 85th minute, Slavia were already three goals up, with Ibrahim Traoré’s header making the final score 4:1, and Slavia took a really good result into the rematch.
