The first Czech team – Viktoria Plzeň – enters the European Cups on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, they will be followed by Prague’s “S”. While the duels of Plzeň and Sparta will be broadcast by our TV stations, it is not certain for Slavia.

Plzeň will play Finnish Helsinki in the Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday at 18:00. The match will be broadcast by CT Sport. The public broadcaster will also broadcast the match between Sparta Prague and Norwegian Viking on Thursday.

It is certain that the rematch between Viktoria and Helsinki will be broadcast on O2 TV Sport. Similarly, the rematch between Slavia and Gibraltar’s St. Joseph’s will be broadcast on this pay channel.

However, the duel, which Slavia will already play in Gibraltar on Thursday, will quite possibly be nowhere to be seen. The head of O2 TV Sport has previously announced that negotiations are underway. However, on Wednesday morning he revealed how things stand.

“Incredible fight for the broadcast peacock for the 2nd Slavie preliminary round in the Europa Conference League. When everything was already agreed, the club from Gibraltar decided to stream the match for Czech fans for a fee on their PPV platform,” Marek Kindernay commented on Twitter.

He added that he intends to keep fighting. And as Jaroslav Tvrdík, the boss of Slavia, said, hope dies last.

“And for good measure, St. Joseph’s refused to help with the production for the TV broadcast. Mark, thank you. We’ll try to do our best together,” Tvdík added to Kindernay’s statement.

UPDATE:: O2 TV Sport has finally acquired the rights and will therefore broadcast Slavia’s away match.
