Six players who could strengthen Manchester United’s squad

This season is again not a successful one for Manchester United. The struggle for league triumph, which used to be a matter of course in the past, is practically no more. What kind of reinforcements could the club get in the summer in order to compete for the Premier League again?

The gap to leaders Manchester City is already an abysmal 20 points. United have to settle for the fight for the elite four, which they are currently 4 points behind from 6th place. Securing this position guarantees participation in the Champions League and also makes it easier to get the reinforcements the club could bring in during the summer.

Declan Rice – €75 million

The West Ham United defensive midfielder is one of the best players in the league. At the age of 23, he is an England international. He is very complex, has excellent ball possession, reliable passing, excellent at getting and taking the ball away and has added more offensive work recently.

The problem could be WHU’s reluctance to let the player go if they win a place in the European cups next season. Moreover, the Hammers would want over 100 million euros for him.

Victor Osimhen – €60 million

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder for Monaco and the French national team could be an alternative if the acquisition of Declan Rice doesn’t work out. He is also capable of filling in at stopper. However, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also interested in the player.

Darwin Nunez – 40 million euros

The 22-year-old striker of Benfica Lisbon and the Uruguayan national team is currently the top scorer in the Portuguese league. He has already managed to score 20 times in 22 games. His price is rising fast and Benfica are said to be ready to reject all offers below €80 million.

Ronald Araujo – €40 million

The 23-year-old defender of Barcelona and the Uruguayan national team has come into form after coach Xavi took over the team. His contract at Barcelona ends next year so he might not be that expensive for Manchester. The question will be whether Barcelona’s financial situation will allow them to sign a new contract, or if they would rather sell him this year.
