Simeone: I would love to see Mbappé at Real, it would be great for La Liga. If not this year, the next one would definitely come to Madrid
Diego Simeone is the long-time coach of Atlético Madrid, who has struggled ably with lesser resources against giants Real and Barcelona. He should wish his opponents the worst, but the Argentine coach would welcome Mbappe’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu.

If Kylian Mbappé does indeed come to Real Madrid, it will probably be one of the most challenging transfers in history.
In fact, Los blancos have been luring Mbappé for the third year now. It has gradually become a Mexican soap opera, with information spilling over in a different direction every day.
But by the third time of all good things, things are looking promising. Mbappé has refused to extend his contract, which expires in a year, and PSG have decided to sell him.
With the arrival of the Frenchman, Real would strengthen their already packed squad even further. This should displease the club’s rivals, only it’s not quite like that.
In fact, Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone was quite surprising with his answer to Mbappé’s question in Madrid.
“I would love to see him at Real. It would be great for La Liga to stay among the best. All the players who arrive in Spain improve the league. Madrid doesn’t have an economic problem that they can’t afford him. If he doesn’t come this year, he will definitely arrive next summer,” Simeone said in an interview with daily AS.
Mbappé would complement Vinícius and Rodrygo in attack, while Real have assembled a talented midfield of young and hungry wolfmen (Bellingham, Camavinga, Valverde, Tchouaméni) to be overseen by the experienced duo of Kroos-Modric. Wouldn’t such a team be unattainable for Atlético?
“It depends on how you look at it. We won the league against Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale… It’s football, not names,” Simeone is sure.
