Sheriff striker ahead of historic duel at Real Madrid: If I score, I’ll go crazy

Sheriff Tiraspol is the biggest surprise of this year’s Champions League. And for his good performances he got one of the biggest rewards you can get in football. He’ll be playing at the hallowed Santiago Bernabéu. How does the Moldovan outsider see his chances?

Sheriff Tiraspol have shocked everyone this season. They made it through all four preliminary rounds to the Champions League group stage, and did so in quite a sovereign manner.

In the first match against Shakhtar, Adama Traoré first scored after a pass from Brazilian left-back Cristian, and Momo Yansane added the insurance in the 62nd minute, again after a pass from Cristian.

“It was an incredible feeling. I almost cried after the goal against Shakhtar. I felt like I was in heaven. If I score in Madrid, I’ll go crazy,” said striker Yansane.

The duel is scheduled for Tuesday at 21:00, Los Blancos may spare a few players due to the heavy schedule, but they cannot underestimate their opponent. It has already paid off for several teams.
