He was probably the best player on his team, but even that wasn’t enough. Sergio Ramos gave a performance against Bayern like he was at the top of his form, but PSG still lost 0:1. The Spanish stopper vented his frustration to a photographer after the game.

He is in his second season at PSG, but it is only this year that he is finally playing steadily. Ramos’ first year in Paris ended in a fiasco, he was practically on the sidelines for the whole year. It wasn’t until he even started to wonder if leaving Real Madrid was a good move.

Since the summer, however, the 36-year-old stopper has gotten his health in order and earned a solid place in the PSG starting lineup. Here, he also started in the eighth-final against Bayern and was one of the home side’s best players, kicking the ball away at the last moment in the first half to Musial, who would have finished from a small area, and notching up other successful saves.

However, PSG still cashed in when Coman shot past an uncertain Donnarumma. The Parisians would have to make up for the one-goal deficit in Munich.

That won’t be easy, especially when Bayern should get Sadio Mané back to health, as the spike striker was the only thing that prevented the Bavarian team from scoring more goals.

That Ramos is a hot temper is not news. The former Real Madrid captain has already racked up 28 red cards in his career, the second highest number in history. And if something is bothering him, he makes it known immediately.

This time it was the photographer. PSG players went to thank the fans for their support after the game, with official UEFA photographers trying to capture the players up close. One photographer inadvertently lightly brushed against Ramos from behind while taking pictures of the players, which the stopper couldn’t take and gave the photographer a good shove.

It was a bit reminiscent of the legendary moment of Tomáš Řepka, who pushed the cameraman after being sent off in Teplice.

Ramos probably blamed the photographer for interfering with him, but it was an unnecessary nervous breakdown. The photographer was just trying to do his job, he didn’t want to shove Ramos. It rather goes to show how stuffy things are at PSG at the moment.
