Serbia will face a tough group in their debut at the Euro! How will the Sparta star fare in the huge competition?
Serbia will participate in the European Championship for the first time ever. In Group C, they will play together with England, Denmark and Slovenia. Veljko Birmančević, the 26-year-old star of Prague’s Sparta, is also on the list.

Serbia has missed the World Cup only once since 2010, in Brazil. Now, the selection of coach Dragan Stojkovic has finally made it to the European championship. What does the final nomination look like?
Team roster
The number one goalkeeper in the last national team selections was Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who wears the jersey of Turin, Italy. However, the question remains whether Djordje Petrovic, who had a fantastic year at Chelsea from a personal point of view, will get priority. This pair will be completed by Predrag Rajkovic.
There are no big names in defence. The roster includes Strahinja Pavlovic, Nikola Milenkovic, Uroš Spajic, Srdjan Babic, Filip Mladenovic and Nemanja Stojić. It is the back row that may be the weakest link in the Serbian team.
On the other hand, there is a huge overload in the midfield. The biggest stars are Dusan Tadic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Nemanja Gudelj and Filip Kostic. Lazar Samardzic, who is only 22 years old and plays for Udinese in Italy, also made it to the final list.
Of course, we must not forget about Veljko Birmančević, who is returning to the national team after three years. He has only three starts in friendly matches.
He earned his nomination thanks to a great season at Sparta Prague. In the Fortuna Liga, he scored sixteen goals and eleven assists, and he also did well on the European stage.
The big weapon for the team from South-Eastern Europe will be the attacking power. Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dusan Vlahovic and Luka Jovic will be a huge danger to any team’s defence. Of course, young Petar Rtakov from Salzburg will also fight for a chance.
Serbia will probably have a huge battle with Denmark for second place in Group C. England is the huge favourite in the group, while Slovenia will enter the tournament as a big underdog.
