In the 70th minute, Patrik Schick gave his place on the pitch to Lucas Alario. He immediately got involved in Leverkusen’s attacking actions.
The first breakthrough didn’t go quite as expected, as Alario got a little greedy and took a shot instead of passing the developing action to someone else.
At the start of the last ten minutes, Robert Andrich received a pass in front of the whitewash and immediately slid it behind the Augsburg defence with a long ball. There, Alario picked it up and cleverly beat goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz.
It was the first goal for the Argentine striker in the Bundesliga this season, and he scored it in such style with his header.
Could this be another Leverkusen candidate for the FIFA Puskás Award?
