The social media manager of German premier league club Bayer Leverkusen has been poking fun at fans of rival clubs.
The latter were in fact trying to mock Bayer, and the response to their message was quite funny and, most importantly, true.
“Bayern is buying all your best players. The Bundesliga is simply a one-team league,” wrote one commenter.
What was Bayer’s reaction? “We haven’t sold a player to Bayern since 2004.” Another fan responded by mentioning that the club hasn’t produced any top talent since 2004 either.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, rushed to answer and once again entertained. “The last top talent our club produced was the winning goal in the Champions League final in 2021.”
And it really doesn’t stop there. He then responded to the wrong name of his team, or blocked a debater who complained about the increased number of posts from this club with the caption “We are always happy to help.”
Bayer Leverkusen received several positive reactions as a result, which the administrator of the English Twitter account praised. Thanks to this kind of work, the club can also gain new fans.
