Bayer Leverkusen took on Augsburg on Saturday afternoon. Patrik Schick was in the starting line-up of the visiting team and his pressure helped to score an excellent own goal.

The third round of the Bundesliga offered a match between Augsburg and Bayer Leverkusen. For a Czech fan, who is not that interested in German football, the duel could have been attractive only because of Patrik Schick’s performance.

He started in the starting line-up of the visiting team and helped to score a quick goal that gave Leverkusen an early lead in the 3rd minute of the match.

Exequiel Palacios managed to win the ball and immediately sent it straight at the Czech striker. The latter managed to handle the ball and rounded one of the defenders, but before he could get to the meruna again, it was sent into his own net by another Augsburg defender.

Iago, of course, intended to head the ball away, but instead he beautifully outmuscled his own goalkeeper and made a curious own goal.

In short, the start of a dream. But it didn’t end there. To make matters worse, Augsburg scored their second own goal in the 14th minute. This time it was scored by Florian Niederlechner.
