The stats site Whoscored has come up with an interesting statistic that shows the league’s top scorers in terms of playing time/goals over the last two seasons. Patrik Schick also made it into the rankings.
The Czech Republic international ranks tenth with 119.9 minutes per goal. He spent the last two seasons with Bayer Leverkusen, who bought him from AS Roma after his successful stint with Leipzig. At Leverkusen, Schick became one of the best strikers in Europe.
Due to several injuries, Schick did not play all 76 league games, specifically he played in 56 games, scoring 33 goals. Especially this year’s 24 goals are exceptional, making him the second best Bundesliga goal scorer.
Five other players have gone over 100 minutes per game. Ciro Immobile of Lazio (118.8), Wissam Ben Yedder of Monaco (114.8), Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus and Manchester United (112.6), Karim Benzema of Real Madrid (109.9) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (109).
Fourth place belongs to Kylian Mbappe with 98.5 minutes per goal, bronze goes, somewhat surprisingly, to Colombia’s Luis Muriel of Atalanta (95.9) and silver to Manchester City’s summer signing from Dortmund, Erling Haaland (88.2).
The absolute leader of the statistics is, as expected, Robert Lewandowski. The Polish cannonballer took 71.2 minutes to score, specifically in 63 games he scored an incredible 76 goals. It is enough to add that defenders in La Liga have a lot to look forward to.
