Sassuolo won 22:0, Lazio scored 16

Preliminary matches often offer specific results, and Italian clubs have been dominating in this respect in the previous days. Sassuolo scored 22 goals, Lazio Rome 16.

Sassuolo went into the first friendly match with a relatively strong line-up, including their biggest star Domenico Berardi. But he was not the main hero of Saturday’s game, scoring only one goal. And this time it can be said really “only”.

This time the Romans split the goals between several scorers, 11 in total. Club icon Ciro Immobile was the only hat-trick scorer, while Pedro Rodrigues, Elseid Hysaj, Toma Basic and Sana Fernandes celebrated twice.

While Lazio are preparing for the Champions League, Sassuolo are glad they are not still playing for salvation among the elite after a poor season. Either way, the players of both teams have improved their spirits for the start of training camp.
