Santos FC – Brazilian talent factory or 5 players we will soon see in Europe
One of the best footballers in history, Pelé, spent almost his entire career there. Brazilian stars like Neymar and Robinho have gone on to play big-time football from here. More recently, Rodrygo and Kaio Jorge have also gone to the big clubs.
One of the best footballers in history, Pelé, spent almost his entire career there. Brazilian stars like Neymar and Robinho have gone on to play big-time football from here. More recently, Rodrygo and Kaio Jorge have also gone to the big clubs. The Santos academy continues to produce talent. Which current players are worth watching?
Kaiky Melo
The 18-year-old stopper is already one of the most promising young defenders. He has been pre-empted by Barcelona who, according to several sources, are also interested in him.
His strength is his playmaking, which would be a good fit in the defence of many big clubs. It’s only a matter of time before we see him in a Barcelona or other European club’s jersey. His value is around 8 million euros.
Sandry
A central midfielder who will celebrate his 20th birthday in a few days. Strong on the ball, excellent defensively, would fit in with a lot of European clubs. Not much speculation yet though, value should be just over €3.5 million.
Ângelo Gabriel
Barcelona have pre-emption rights on the 17-year-old winger, just like Kaiky. However, Newcastle are very interested, and apparently the first negotiations have already taken place. In any case, a transfer to Europe would not come until the January transfer window, as he will not celebrate his 18th birthday until December.
Marcos Leonardo
A striker who has better stats this season than Kaio Jorge before his move to Juventus. This season he has scored 6 goals and 1 assist in 11 games in the Brazilian top flight. However, speculation about his departure has been surprisingly quiet so far, but it’s only a matter of time before he embarks on his European journey.
Vinicius Zanocelo
Although he is only on loan with an option at Santos, he is already the subject of interest from Nice. The skilful midfielder is also on the radar of other European clubs such as Lazio, Real Betis and Sevilla.
the 21-year-old Brazilian has been compared to Lille’s Thiago Mendes for his ability. Even though he is only on loan at Santos, it looks like he will soon be a hot commodity.
