Sacramento finally beat Milwaukee and Domantas Sabonis has a club record. Jayson Tatum pulls Celtics to another win
Sacramento beat Milwaukee on their home floor after more than 8 years and a lot of the credit for that went to the great Domantas Sabonis. Jayson Tatum, even without his shooting partners, led the Boston team to another victory.
Sacramento beat Milwaukee on their home floor after more than 8 years and a lot of the credit for that went to the great Domantas Sabonis. Jayson Tatum, even without his shooting partners, led the Boston team to another victory.
Domantas Sabonis holds the club record
In the game Sacramento Kings vs Milwaukee Bucks (129:94), which was quite clear in favour of the home team, the traditional shooting duo of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis did the most. Fox was the second-leading scorer with 29 points.
Sabonis scored 22 points. He added 11 rebounds and 8 assists. He narrowly missed the prized triple-double again. But he did set one club record in this game. He has now played 47 straight games in which he has recorded a double-double.
These are double-digit numbers in two statistical indicators. In his case, they are usually at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in each of the 47 games. This surpassed the legendary feat of Basketball Hall of Fame member Jerry Lucas from the 1967-68 season.
Sacramento took a very valuable scalp. The Milwaukee team was only able to overcome a 15-game losing streak. Sacramento hasn’t been able to beat the Bucks since February 2016. The top scorer of the game was Jannis Adetokunbo of the Bucks, who scored 30 points. However, the game did not go well for his team. From the beginning of the game, he took a terrible loss, which grew to the final 35 points.
Tatum led Boston to victory
In the Utah Jazz’s battle with Boston (107:123), Jayson Tatum led the best team of the season. The Celtics star scored 38 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the game. Boston started with a weakened lineup and had to do without Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Pozrigins.
Without the two elite scorers, it was Tatum who had to bear the brunt of the responsibility. But he was perfect. The Celtics are back on a winning streak after two defeats and enjoy their third straight win. They’ve only lost two of their last 10 games.
The Celtics have won 51 times this season and have only 14 defeats. They are clearly dominating the NBA. No one has stood out from Boston since then. The shooting stars were replaced by 5 other players who broke the double-digit point mark.
On the Jazz, the entire starting lineup scored just 65 points, and that was not enough. The top scorer was Keyonte George with 26 points. Utah was already down by 15 points at halftime and couldn’t find an effective recipe for a rampant Boston team in the second half.
