Are Paul Pogba’s days at Manchester United numbered? According to Wayne Rooney, it should be. The English football legend didn’t mince his words in an interview, according to him the French midfielder should leave the club right away.
Paul Pogba continues his lacklustre performances at Manchester United. Wayne Rooney has run out of patience with him and in a recent interview, he expressed that Pogba should leave the club. This was reported by Goal.com.
What’s behind it? While Pogba is putting in world class performances for the French national team, he is unable to build on those in club matches. So the transfer could be a positive boost for him.
“I think it has reached the point where it would be better to leave. If Paul was honest with himself, he would know that he is no longer a valid player,” Wayne Rooney said in an interview.
The Manchester United legend also adds that Pogba is putting in a completely different performance for France. “I saw him play for France and he was a completely different player. His ability, his dynamism and his control of the game is evident in every national team game.”
Paul Pogba came to Manchester United in 2016 and immediately ranked among the Premier League’s best players. However, his performances have stagnated in recent seasons, leaving some fans rather dissatisfied.
So perhaps the time is right for him to leave. Pogba certainly has many offers of where to move to, and if he builds on his performances from the national team, he will certainly be one of the key players in the new team right away.
