Ronaldo in the Al-Nassr team? The plan was said to be different, but the Portuguese did not receive the coveted offer

Cristiano Ronaldo has now officially got a new deal and while Al-Nassr rejoices at his arrival, Europe remains more or less surprised and taken aback. According to Spanish outlets, the Portuguese star had other plans, but they didn’t work out.

His opponents and critics are laughing, they have the perfect ammunition. His fans, on the other hand, are disappointed. All along, they have denied that Cristiano Ronaldo should leave Europe due to his ambitious nature, only for it to happen.

The Portuguese has signed until 2025 with Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr, where he will earn fabulous money. Football fans can only speculate as to why he made such a move in the first place.

Ronaldo may well be paying the price for the way he behaved during his Manchester United engagement. The playing contribution he could certainly make to many European clubs, but if none wanted him, that probably says a lot.

It was their disinterest that could have broken the Real Madrid or Red Devils legend. Moreover, the Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that going to Saudi Arabia was definitely not Ronaldo’s first plan.

The holder of five Ballon d’Or was offered to Eintracht Frankfurt, for example, but even they turned him down. After the World Cup, where he did not shine at all, he got the opportunity to train at Real Madrid’s facilities.

And that is where he reportedly wanted to stay. Marca claims that Ronaldo was simply waiting for a call that never came when he wanted to return to the Santiago Bernabeu after more than four years.

Instead, however, his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. headed to Real Madrid, having left Old Trafford just like his father.
