Ronaldo back to Real Madrid? We are not interested, reports President Pérez. Chelsea and other giants see it the same way

It’s starting to look like none of the big clubs are serious about signing Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment. The Portuguese was keen to return to Real, but the latter is not even considering it. Chelsea or Bayern Munich are taking a similar approach.

There is a lot of speculation swirling around Cristiano Ronaldo as to where he might head after his time at Manchester United. He would still like to play in the millionaire Champions League for one of the wealthy clubs.

But he is already 37 years old and his recent behaviour is not exactly appealing to a potential new employer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronaldo was supposed to offer his services to his former benefactor Real Madrid through an agent.

But the latter has gratefully declined, with its president Florentino Pérez stating that Real are not and have not considered Ronaldo’s return.

The same seems to be the case with the alleged interest of Chelsea, which is currently the main candidate to sign CR7 according to the bookmakers.

However, the now former Blues coach Thomas Tuchel did not want Ronaldo in the summer, the same stance was supposed to be taken by the current Chelsea coach Graham Potter, according to the Express.

Neither Newcastle nor Bayern. The big clubs are no longer fighting over Ronaldo

Another who, despite the announced interest, does not want Ronaldo in the team is the manager of Newcastle United Eddie Howe.“We are looking for long-term growth. We have quite an old squad at the moment, we need to reduce the average age. Thearrival of Ronaldo wouldn’t help us with that.”

Bayern Munich officials have expressed a similar sentiment before. The Bavarian giant has been one of the most frequently mentioned clubs in connection with Ronaldo’s new job. There were rumours that he could replace the injured Sadio Mané.

Where Ronaldo will eventually head to remains in the stars. Fiorentina is the latest rumoured destination, with a return to parent club Sporting Lisbon also in play.

It could also be that the Portuguese legend heads to the American MLS, or to Saudi Arabia, or a similarly exotic country with oil wealth.
