Ronaldinho has gone down in football history as one of the most technically equipped footballers of all time. It was his magic with the ball that brought many fans to the most popular sport on the planet. He got his first taste of European football at PSG in France. Now, he’s reminiscing about his time with the now dominant Ligue 1 side.
He made his mark in the annals of football, especially in a Barcelona jersey. Later, he also tried his hand at AC Milan. However, he was brought to Europe by the then still ambitious PSG, which was not nearly as successful as it is now.
It was 2001 when he arrived in France from Gremia in Brazil as a 21-year-old promising ball wizard. However, he lasted only two years in Paris. In his first season, he became a key player and it was no different in his second.
Overall, he racked up 25 goals and 17 assists for PSG. He did all this in 77 competitive matches. He did not win any trophy with the team. However, he made up for it during his time in Catalonia.
Now, however, in an interview with the French media outlet Carré, he talked about just how he remembers Paris and what he regrets. The now 42-year-old phenomenon admitted that he has one regret.
“My worst memory of PSG? That I didn’t stay longer. It’s really the worst thing that happened to me in Paris. Playing PSG in a different formation or with different coaches, I would have liked to stay longer,” Ronaldinho let slip.
“Now it’s all up to God. In the end, I went to an amazing club where I was very happy,” added the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner for the best footballer in the world.
