The second half of the Wimbledon third round matches await us on Saturday afternoon. You can look forward to, among others, the duel between Roger Federer and home Cameron Norrie. Who will advance to the eighth round?
Roger Federer is one of the greatest icons of men’s tennis. The thirty-nine-year-old Basel native has already won twenty Grand Slam titles and would like to add to his collection.
So far, so good. At Wimbledon, where he has triumphed eight times, he took Mannarino in the first round, but had to retire in the fifth set for health reasons. On Wednesday, Federer claimed the scalp of Richard Gasquet.
His opponent on Saturday will be 25-year-old Briton Cameron Norrie. The left-handed tennis player is currently ranked 34th in the ATP rankings, which is also his career high.
In the first round of Wimbledon, Norrie defeated Frenchman Lucas Pouille 3:1. Subsequently, he also outplayed Alex Bolt of Australia, whom he allowed only six games.
So what to bet on? Roger Federer is the paper favourite, but Cameron Norrie will be able to take advantage of his home environment. In addition, he should be better physically prepared, so we can expect an even match.
