Franck Ribéry has been out of contract since the summer. For some unfathomable reasons, Fiorentina did not renew his contract. But now he should be close to signing a contract with a newcomer in the Italian top flight.
The Bayern Munich legend has two seasons under his belt at Fiorentina. Franck Ribéry has been a key player. When he was healthy, he gave joy and proved he still had something to offer.
It was all the more surprising when the Florentine side did not renew his contract in the summer. The 38-year-old Frenchman is still without a contract.
There was talk of a possible return to Bayern, but the Bavarian giant denied it. However, he let Ribéry train in his team to be as ready as possible. And soon the skilful winger could capitalise on this opportunity with a new employer.
Indeed, journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who works for SportItalia, claims that Ribéry is close to a new contract with the Serie A newcomer. Salernitana are interested in him.
Only the formalities are said to be left for the deal. It is expected that Ribéry will be the main driving force of the team and that he will shoulder a huge responsibility.
