The new Real Fight Arena organization recently announced the dates of the tournaments it will host in 2022. It will offer a taste to combat sports fans in March. Promoter Boris Marhansky hinted at his plans.
On its social media, RFA announced only five tournaments for 2022, but in an interview with Svet MMA, promoter Boris Marhansky revealed that there will be six tournaments, with the first one being a taster for fans.
So the plan for 2022 is clear. To organize 6 big events, which the new organization on the scene wants to prove that it is not a short-term affair. “We want to become an established and big MMA organization that will bring the best fights to the audience,” Marhansky expressed.
However, the goals also include meeting the needs of the fighters, who should get the media space they deserve to keep everyone happy.
The first tournament will take place on March 12. Several amateur pairs will get a chance to compete for a professional contract at the tournament. But in addition, there will be eight professional matches that are said to surprise people. It should be a big test for the RFA as well.
Back in February, the organization will hold a press conference where the names of the signed foreign fighters will be announced. A piece of the upcoming anthem will also be unveiled. But beyond that, the big names of the domestic scene are to be announced.
In the interview, Marhansky also responded to the question of whether in retrospect he regrets that the RFA was not formed earlier so that it could have held its first tournament in 2021. He says there is nothing to regret, on the contrary.
“We hit the right time. A lot of fighters are now coming to the end of their contracts, we used 2021 to prepare the necessary steps and analysis. I think the fact that we are starting in 2022 will be our biggest advantage. Why? Time will tell. There is no need to speed things up at the expense of quality,” the RFA promoter is clear.
