It will soon be two and a half years since Lucie Pudilova last competed in a UFC fight. However, she won’t be waiting too long for her next fight in the star organization. She has managed to fight her way back.
Lucie Pudilova was the first ever fighter from the Czech Republic to fight in the UFC. It happened in 2017. She had seven fights in the organization with a record of 2::5. But she’s had some tough opponents.
The Czech fighter fought, for example, with Antonina Shevchenko or the legendary Liz Carmouche. Except for one fight, all of them ended on points and her performances entertained the fans.
After her end in the UFC, which came in January 2020, she waited almost a year for her next fight. She earned it under the Octagon banner, where she had six MMA fights (5: 1) in less than two years, adding a duel at Underground. Almost two. The second one didn’t work out.
“I am extremely proud that I, as the first Czech woman in the UFC, managed to get back. I couldn’t have done it without the Octagon. I would also like to thank my SBG coaching team led by John (Kavanagh) and manager Brian Butler,” Pudilova expressed.
Under the post, Pudilova received many congratulations, including from Viktor Peshta, a former Octagon champion and ex-UFC fighter who now works in the American PFL. Slovak stand-up star Monika Chochlíková also added her congratulations.
Fighter Lina Länsberg, who has fought Pudilova twice, both outside and in the UFC, and won twice, also added some nice words: “Congratulations! You belong here.”
