One of the best fighters of all time is back! Jon Jones has only lost once in his professional MMA career, more than twelve years ago. Now he returns after more than two years and we can look forward to a really interesting fight.
February 2020 was the last time he was in the octagon, back then he beat Dominick Reyes on points, which many disagreed with. Jon Jones, however, scored his 26th win as a result.
He subsequently wanted to fight Francis Ngannou and had such a falling out with the organization that he gave up his title and moved up to heavyweight.
It’s been almost two and a half years since his fight and now it appears that a comeback is in the works. The information came from Dana White himself, who confirmed that he is ready to return.
“Now we’re just waiting for an opponent. It will be the champion Francis Ngannou, who is currently dealing with an operated knee, or Stipe Miocic. I’m very curious about it because I personally believe that the match break can have a big effect on you.
But still, if you put aside all the negative stuff about his personal life and stuff like that, he’s still the best fighter of all time,“ White said.
So Jones’ move to heavyweight is complete and there’s definitely something to look forward to. Maybe he’ll decide to return to welterweight in the future, where he could face Jiri Prochazka.
