Rempe can’t hold his nerve again! First he sent Siegenthaler to the booths, then he laughed at his opponents

Matthew Rempe doesn’t go far from a shot, as some NHL players have already found out. The 21-year-old forward has only played ten games in the top division. Today, he waited for defenseman Siegenthaler at the boards and it wasn’t his first elbow.

Matthew Rempe doesn’t go far from a shot, as some NHL players have already found out. The 21-year-old forward has only played ten games in the top division. Today, he waited for defenseman Siegenthaler at the boards and it wasn’t his first elbow.

The Devils don’t like him?

Rempe earned a game misconduct for the second time against the New Jersey Devils. The second time for an almost identical elbow hit.

Less than three weeks ago, Canadian forward Nathan Bastian took the hit, leaving with bloody cuts on his face. But he returned to the ice in the second period and took out his anger in a fight with Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.

Rempe, however, doesn’t like the Devils, so he decided to repeat that action tonight. The victim of this nasty hit this time was Swiss defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler.

Rempe, as in the last game, was given a game misconduct and sent his team to a five minute shorthanded period.

The Rangers managed the shorthanded and came away with a narrow 3-1 victory. American center Vincent Trocheck secured the win with an empty net goal.

Rempe is not afraid of a fight either!

In his first NHL game, Rempe immediately got into a fight with Matt Martin. It was his first ever substitution in the world’s top hockey competition. The Rangers managed to turn the derby around and won 6:5 after overtime.

Twenty-one-year-old Rempe was also part of this win, as he has already managed four fights in ten games. After Martin, he faced other big hitters Nicolas Deslauriers, Mathieu Olivier and Ryan Reaves.
