Mick Schumacher will not be continuing in the Saudi Grand Prix. He crashed hard at turn 22, and of course there were yellow flags on the circuit.
Anyway, three laps behind the safety car and even red flags were displayed due to more damage to the tech barriers! So the race was abandoned for about 15 minutes.
A number of drivers then took advantage of the safety car’s exit to make pit stops and change tyres, namely Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Charles Leclerc, Sergio Pérez, Lando Norris and Fernando Alonso.
Turn 22 in particular is very problematic, at higher approach speeds the monoposto will so-called break off and end up just like that.
The race directorate has announced a hard start, so we can only assume what the restart will bring. Max Verstappen is currently in first place.
