Real Madrid vs. RB Leipzig: Preview and betting tips
Real Madrid still haven’t found their opponents this season and their next opponent will be RB Leipzig, who failed to win their opening game against Shakhtar. Will coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team confirm their form and sweep away the German team, who took another breather in the Bundesliga at the weekend?
Real Madrid still haven’t found their opponents this season and their next opponent will be RB Leipzig, who failed to win their opening game against Shakhtar. Will coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team confirm their form and sweep away the German team, who took another breather in the Bundesliga at the weekend?
It has not been usual for Real Madrid to pedal as well as they have this season right from the start in recent seasons. But the Spanish side is simply very comfortable and it shows on the pitch. 6 games = 6 wins.
“This is a very important game. Leipzig had problems at the beginning of the season, but they did well against Dortmund. The players have a lot of quality and are skilful and fast. Nkunku in particular is a brilliant footballer, look what he did last season,” Ancelotti told the pre-match press conference.
However, the Italian coach will miss Éder Militão and key scorer Karim Benzema this time around. Lucas Vázquez is also out. Should this be a problem for the White Ballet? Not at all, Mallorca were swept away 4-0 by Vinícius Jr. and co. at the weekend.
However, even RB Leipzig, who as already mentioned are not doing too well, will not be complete with Lukas Klostermann and Dani Olmo out.
Coach Marco Rose’s charges have won only three games this season. Ignoring the last win against Dortmund, they got four goals from Shakhtar and Frankfurt, while scoring only one goal themselves.
However, they were the more active team in both of the aforementioned matches they lost, but they couldn’t capitalize on any of it and on the contrary, goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi had to fish one ball after another out of his net.
It is therefore a question of how they will be able to cope with a rampant Real Madrid who are mowing down one opponent after another. Personally, I believe that it will be difficult and that’s why the odds of 1.57 for the home team to win are a rather tempting proposition.
The same goes for the bet on goals, as they fall really a lot in the matches of both teams. However, we won’t be able to read anything from the duels, as this will be the first meeting of the two teams.
