Real Madrid go into the match as clear favourites. It leads the Spanish La Liga by five over Sevilla. Its players have scored 45 goals in the league and have won four times and lost once in their last five competitive matches.
In the semifinals, Real managed to knock out Barcelona, winning 3-2 after extra time. Barcelona managed to extend Real’s lead twice, only the third goal was unanswered. Vinicius, Benzema and Valverde scored for the White Ballet.
The combination of Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema has produced a total of 38 goals this season. The players complement each other perfectly and drag Real Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao are much worse off in the La Liga table. They are currently in ninth place and are an abysmal 21 points behind leaders Real.

In the semi-finals, Bilbao managed to knock out Atletico Madrid. Atleti took the lead after an hour of play after an own goal by Bilbao. However, good substitutions brought two goals towards the end of the match and Bilbao managed to turn the unfavourable result around.
Bilbao managed to surprise Atletico, but they won’t be able to do it against Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti’s team is on a roll and will go for their first trophy of the year in this final. Real Madrid have always beaten Bilbao in recent matches, but each time it has been by a one-goal margin.
