Traditionally, the new season includes new jerseys. Real Madrid never change the white colour, only the accessories. For the 2023/24 season, Adidas has chosen to return to gold.
Traditionally, the new season includes new jerseys. Real Madrid never change the white colour, only the accessories. For the 2023/24 season, Adidas has chosen to return to gold.
Real Madrid already wanted to unveil the new jerseys the week before last, but Benzema’s departure threw a spanner in the works. In fact, the Los Blancos captain featured as the main character in all the commercials, which wouldn’t have looked good given his signing in Saudi Arabia.
So the marketing department had to switch things up and now Real Madrid can finally fully unveil the new jerseys that the players will wear in the 2023/24 season.
In the end, Real chose Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Ferland Mendy and Eder Milito for the official video.
The classic white jersey this time will have gold stripes on the shoulders with a dark blue collar. Gold and dark blue circles also line the sleeve ends.
The shorts and socks also have gold stripes. Also new is the inscription ‘Hala Madrid’ on the back of the neck. There is also a badge for the winners of the Club World Cup above the Adidas crest.
The jersey is a bit reminiscent of the home kit from the 2011/12 or 2019/20 season, when Real also had gold stripes. Back then, however, only white was combined with gold, this time a dark blue is also added.
Real has only unveiled the home kit so far, the away and third jersey will be revealed later. While the home jersey is never experimented and is always pure white, Adidas takes a chance with the outdoor jerseys, we have seen orange, pink, grey or green in the past for example.
