The colour white is inseparable from Real Madrid. “Los Blancos” (the white ones) and “Merengues” (the snow meringues). In the Czech Republic, the nickname “White Ballet” has taken hold.
In the current season, Real Madrid is wearing a modern jersey with many interesting features and a blue Adidas stripe trim, complemented by orange. This jersey will go down in history as a very successful one, as Real won their 35th league title in it and reached the Champions League final, where they can win another valuable trophy.
For the 2022/23 season, however, Adidas has reached back into history. After all, Real Madrid will celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary this year, so jerseys commemorating history were chosen.
To this was added the collar, which is no longer used much in modern jerseys. The jersey is almost snow-white, with only the shoulders bordered by purple stripes, as well as the edges of the collar.
In addition, the jersey is reminiscent in some ways of the 2002 season when Real Madrid dominated the Champions League thanks to Zinedine Zidane’s incredible volley against Leverkusen. The font on the back for the names and numbers is virtually identical.
Real Madrid will celebrate the 120th anniversary of the club this year, which is also marked on the jersey in the neck area.
The jersey is very positively regarded among fans, who believe that the pure white jersey represents the greatness of the royal club.
