Real Madrid played PSG on Tuesday and lost 0:1. The only goal of the match was scored by Kylian Mbappé, who was one of the best players on the pitch. The coach of the Spanish team sang only words of praise for him after the match.
PSG ran into a very tough opponent, the upstart Real Madrid, right at the start of the Champions League knockout fights. But the first game was excellent. And it could have been even better, but Lionel Messi missed a penalty.
Instead of Messi, who gave a good performance, the main hero was Kylian Mbappé, who scored a goal at the end of the match to decide Paris’ victory.
The French player had more chances, but Thibaut Courtois was in excellent form.
After the match, even Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, quite possibly Mbappé’s future boss, sang odes to the PSG gem.
“Kylian is the best player in European football. He is unstoppable. We tried to keep him under control, Eder Militao did a great job, but Mbappé always comes up with something,” Ancelotti said at a press conference.
Mbappé has played 32 competitive games this season with a record of 22 goals scored and 16 assists. He also wasted a lot of chances, so his numbers could have been much better.
However, at 23 years old, he still has a lot of room to grow.
