Saturday night offered the conclusion of the Club World Cup, with Real Madrid and Al-Hilal clashing. TheSpanish club’s footballers went on to win their fifth championship in the competition.

Real Madrid already held the lead in the number of Club World Cup trophies won before the start of this match. By Saturday evening, it had won this competition four times.

The European giants had the better start to the match. After less than a quarter of an hour of play, the White Ballet sent Vinícius Jr. The second shot did not wait long. It was midfielder Federico Valverde who scored his tenth goal of the season.

This goal made Carlo Ancelotti very happy, as he declared before the season that if Valverde didn’t score at least ten goals, he would tear up his coaching license.

It looked like a clear-cut match, but Al-Hilal players didn’t want to give their more famous opponents anything for free, so after the goal scored by Manega, they reduced the score to 2: 1.

As in the case of the first half, Real Madrid players entered the second one better. First Karim Benzema increased the lead and then Valverde added another shot.

Al-Hilal made the game a bit more dramatic with a lowering goal, but the reigning Champions League champion responded with his second goal of the game, from Vinícius Jr.

The match itself was a feast for the eyes. It offered perhaps unexpected goal throws. With ten minutes to go, the Arab club managed to reduce the score again, forcing the Real Madrid goalkeeper to fish the ball out of his net for the third time.

However, there was no more sensation. Real Madrid thus confirmed their role as clear favourites and, after a beautiful final match full of goals, they won their second trophy of the current season.
