Real Madrid are close to signing another star signing. In this case, it is 19-year-old English midfielder Jude Bellingham. He is to be preferred by the Spanish big club over Liverpool and especially Manchester City.
The long-discussed transfer of Jude Bellingham is gaining momentum again. According to many sources, led by Spanish newspaper MARCA, Real Madrid are significantly closer to transferring the talented Englishman to the Spanish capital.
In the current situation, Real Madrid may not even try to overpay the player somehow as the transfer is already decided. Even Manchester City and Liverpool know that, as they have withdrawn from the fight for the talented Englishman.
Meanwhile, sources from Madrid have already claimed at the beginning of the year that if the player is mainly concerned about money, the club is not for him as English teams have offered him much more lucrative contracts.
The player was convinced mainly by the sporting project, but also by the fact that the club has been giving chances to young players in recent years. The examples of Tchouaméni and Camavinga are very positive for him.
The amount Real Madrid will pay for the player is not yet clear. According to the German newspaper BILD, Borussia Dortmund consider a sum of up to 140 million euros for their gem. The White Ballet want to close the deal somewhere around €100 to €120 million.
The German club is already under pressure, as Bellingham is under contract until the summer of 2025, but it is hard to see the player signing an extension. Therefore, if Dortmund want to receive as much money as possible, they should not delay the sale too much.
The transfer should therefore be officially completed at the beginning of the summer, unless there is some unexpected change. However, according to Sky Germany, Dortmund have not yet received an official offer. In the event of a transfer, Bellingham is expected to sign a contract at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2029.
