Mariano Díaz has a contract at Real Madrid until the end of the season and it is already clear that he will not get a new contract at the club. At the age of 29, he will have to look for a new contract.
Díaz arrived in Madrid from Badalona in 2011, then he became part of the youth selection of the White Ballet, so he can be considered as an offspring of the Spanish royal club. Since then, only in the 2017/18 season has he worked outside Real, otherwise he has always been part of the team.
However, his guest stint at Olympique Lyon, it must be noted, was very successful, even to the point of being the most successful season of his career. At Real, he was always at most a second fiddle and was on the pitch rather sporadically.
Now his contract is up and he is preparing to leave Real Madrid permanently. However, Díaz will have no shortage of offers.
The Dominican Republic striker is wanted by three clubs. two of them are from England and one from France.
Specifically, West Ham United, where Díaz could become a teammate of Czech national team players Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal, Leeds United and Nice, where he could build on his successful engagement in the French top flight Ligue 1.
The native of Premie de Mar has only spent 57 minutes on the pitch for Real this season in all competitions.
The right-footed forward will therefore have a real challenge ahead of him in the new season, now he just has to choose which of the offers is right for him.
