The dream of many Real Madrid fans is coming true. Everyone’s favourite coach Carlo Ancelotti is returning to the scene after six years.
In 2014 he conquered his dream tenth Champions League title with Real, the so-called “La Décima”. He will always be admired by his fans. But the next season he didn’t win any trophies, so Florentino Pérez decided to recall him.
However, Ancelotti remained in the hearts of the fans and received a warm welcome even a few years later when he arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu as Bayern Munich coach.
After Zinedine Zidane’s end on the bench, three names were speculated. Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino and Raúl. But in the end, Los Blancos opted for a completely different candidate.
Carlito has the most successful record of any coach at Real Madrid, winning 75% of his coaching matches. He has backed up this incredible number with another streak of 22 consecutive wins.
His arrival is expected to be announced on Tuesday afternoon. A lot of experts and fans agree that under Ancelotti, Real Madrid played the best football, in 2014 he created a BBC trio (Benzema, Bale, Ronaldo) that destroyed all opponents.
Another great news for Real fans is the return of fitness coach Antonio Pintus. This man is considered by many to be the architect of the Champions League title hat-trick, and is regarded as the best fitness coach in the world.
But he left Madrid to join Conte’s implementation team at Inter. The result? The Milan side broke Juventus’ domination and won Serie A. Real Madrid have been plagued by a lot of injuries this season, and that’s what Pintus should end.
