Real Madrid are set to pay €60 million for Brazilian comet Endrick from Palmeiras, but they are not done buying stars of the future. It is also interested in Alejandro Garnacha, who is developing his potential at Manchester United for the time being.
According to ESPN, Real have agreed a deal with Palmeiras to buy striker Endrick, who is considered a future football superstar at the age of 16. Endrick will become Real Madrid’s third expensive purchase from Brazil, with the White Ballet’s mainstays currently being internationals Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo.
However, the royal club is not done with building a future in its squad. According to the Daily Mail, it would also like to acquire Garnacha from Manchester United, an 18-year-old left winger.
The Argentine youngster has been blessed with divine talent, some consider him as the successor of Maradona or Messi. And they don’t want to miss out on that at Real, where they have been betting on youth lately.
In all competitions this season, Garnacho has played eight games for the Red Devils, scoring twice. Fans adore him and wish coach Ten Hag would give him more space on the pitch. In short, the talented player is proving that the future may lie at his feet.
Will we see an offensive trio of Vinícius Júnior – Endrick – Garnacho?
However, he will also have to work on his approach, which some sources say has not been ideal in the past. There has been talk of late arrivals to practice and off-field transgressions. But Garnacho has reportedly worked on that and is determined to become the new football megastar.
That goal might not be fulfilled at Old Trafford, but at Real Madrid. There, they have been nurturing their budding starlets in recent years, the aforementioned Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo being shining examples.
Both are members of the starting line-up despite their young age, especially Vinícius Júnior has already developed into a key figure in the team.
Garnacho, though a product of rival Atlético Madrid, left for United at 16. This year he has been relegated to the A-team and is making his presence known. He has already scored in the Premier League and the Europa League. In the domestic competition, he made the difference in the 16th round in injury time in United’s 2-1 win over Fulham.
