We bring you a ranking of the ten most valuable footballers who have never lifted a winning trophy in their lives, although they certainly have the qualities to do so. Harry Kane is the most valuable player, followed by Declan Rice and Gavi in third place.
1. harry Kane (€100 million)
The most valuable footballer in this unflattering ranking is easily Harry Kane. He’s worth an even €100 million on the market, yet he’s never tasted the taste of triumph in the whole competition. Kane has spent the vast majority of his career at Tottenham, who had several chances to win the title, but failed to take any of them. At the age of twenty-eight, Kane is waiting for his first trophy.
2. place – Declan Rice (€80m)
In second place is another English footballer, Declan Rice. He has been performing well at West Ham and is asking for a big transfer. So he could soon drop out of this ranking. Moreover, Rice is still only twenty-three years old and has his whole career ahead of him. But he’s already a great footballer.
3. place – Gavi(€60million)
Gavi is still a teenager. It’s no wonder he hasn’t won a trophy in his career yet, as he’s only seventeen years old with his first season under his belt. On the contrary, being in this ranking may be an honour for him, as he has placed himself among the world’s other valuable footballers. Gavi will definitely win a trophy in his career, the question is how many will he end up winning.
4. place – Amine Gouiri (€50 million)
Although Gouiri spent two seasons at Lyon, it wasn’t until Nice that he broke into big-time football. Here, he has played a full complement of league games and is pulling his team along. It will be interesting to see if the French club will keep their gem for next season, there is definitely interest in him among other clubs.
5. place – Lorenzo Pellegrini (€45 million)
Lorenzo Pellegrini is 25 years old and is also waiting for his first triumph. However, it could come soon. With his Italian side AS Roma playing the final of the European Conference League, Pellegrini could have his first title right away from a European competition.
6. – 7th place – Edmond Tapsoba and Harry Maguire (€40m)
Harry Maguire moved to Manchester United in 2019 to win trophies. Unfortunately, his plan hasn’t worked out so far. He hasn’t won any titles at United either, so at the age of twenty-nine he has one of his last opportunities.
It’s a completely different story with Tapsoba. He is still a young player who is quickly gaining experience at Leverkusen and is waiting for the next big transfer.
8. place – Tanguy Ndombele (€35 million)
Tanguy Ndombele is a very skilful footballer. At 25 years old, he has had stints at both Lyon and Tottenham, but has never enjoyed a trophy at these rather ambitious teams. Ndombele, however, still has relatively enough time to win it.
