We bring you an updated ranking of the most valuable footballers in the world. The ranking is led by youngsters Kylian Mbappé together with Erling Haaland. Four other footballers have a market value of over 100 million euros.
1. kylian Mbappé (€160 million)
The most valuable player according to Transfermarkt.com is Kylian Mbappé. At his young age, he is pulling for PSG and the French national team. In addition, Real Madrid have been pursuing this footballer for a long time. Mbappé thus has his entire footballing future ahead of him, but he is already being courted by European clubs.
2. place – Erling Haaland (€150 million)
At only €10 million, Haaland has a lower market value. That’s a really respectable sum considering that this Norwegian striker is only twenty-one years old. Haaland has already proved in several teams that he has a really great shooting instinct, which he is now proving at Borussia Dortmund. His name is also often linked with a transfer, currently most often to Real Madrid or Barcelona in Spain.
3. – 6th place – Vinicius Junior, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku (€100m)
In a split third place are four players who have an estimated market value of just over €100 million. Among them is Real Madrid’s youngster Vinicius, who has been making a name for himself especially recently and shows that he could be the one to pull the club from Madrid in the future.
Then there are the Premier League representatives. There is Romelu Lukaku, who after a very successful engagement at Inter is currently defending the colours of Chelsea. Then there is Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane in a split third place. These players have been loyal to their club for a long time and are key players for them.
7. – 9th place – Bruno Fernandes, Kevin de Bruyne, Neymar (€90m)
The seventh spot in the rankings is occupied by players who have an identical market value of €90 million. While de Bruyne and Fernandes are dragging their teams in the Premier League, Neymar is falling short of expectations with his performances and it seems his greatest glory is long gone.
10. – 14th – Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Joshua Kimmich, Raheem Sterling (€85m)
There are five players sharing the tenth spot. They are mostly youngsters, for example Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho are both 21 years old. On the other hand, the oldest Raheem Sterling is 27 with Kimmich. Sterling has been linked with a transfer recently as he is not getting the minutes he would like at Manchester City. Barcelona were very keen on him, however, negotiations have fallen through according to the latest reports.
The fifth player is Marcus Rashford, a young English striker who should be the hope of the English national team. Like the other players, he has a market value set at €85 million.
