We bring you a ranking of the twelve most valuable footballers in the world. Kylian Mbappé currently has the highest value on the market, followed by another youngster Erling Haaland and Harry Kane in third place.

1. kylian Mbappé

This table is led by Kylian Mbappé by a wide margin. The young Frenchman, at 22 years old, is one of the best strikers in the world and his performances are driving the attacking play of PSG and the national team. Kylian Mbappé is currently valued at a fantastic 144 million euros.

2. place – Erling Haaland

Haaland is only 20 years old and already he is almost the highest scoring striker in the world. The young Norwegian first drew attention to himself when he scored an incredible 9 goals for Honduras at the Under-20 World Cup. He has retained his killer instinct for future engagements, which has earned Haaland a market value of €117 million.

3. place – Harry Kane

Harry Kane is Tottenham’s number one striker, having been at the club for eight years. Fans see him as a club legend. And it’s no wonder, as Kane has played 335 games for Tottenham, in which he managed to score a nice 223 goals. The English striker is currently valued at €108 million.

4. – 8th place – Jadon Sancho, Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin de Bruyne, Neymar

These five players are ranked identically in 4th place, with a market value of €90 million. It is interesting to note that only Romelu Lukaku is currently reaching his highest value, otherwise all other players have crossed the €100 million mark in the past.

It was Neymar who boasted a market value of €162 million in the past, which would easily be enough for the top spot today. Even for Mohamed Salah and Kevin de Bruyne, age is already noticeably affecting the market value, while in the past they reached €135 million, they are now at €45 million less.

On the other hand, Jadon Sancho is only twenty-one years old, so we can still expect some progress with him. Playing for Borussia Dortmund, the young winger would certainly like to chase the youngsters in the first and second places.

9. – 12th – Frenkie de Jong, Bruno Fernandes, Joshua Kimmich, Raheem Sterling

All of these players are in their prime footballing years, but only Sterling is not at his peak in terms of value. At the end of 2019, he was worth €144 million, which now belongs to the leader Mbappe. He is now valued at 81 million euros.

By contrast, the other players are at their peak. Bayern in particular can be proud of Kimmich, as they themselves have raised him for big football. He came to Bayern six years ago from Stuttgart for around 7 and a half million euros, Bayern then managed to raise his value to 81 million euros.

By contrast, Frenkie de Jong and Bruno Fernandes were bought by clubs as ready-made players. Now they are the main drivers of their clubs, so their price could go even higher.
