We have prepared a ranking of the eleven most valuable Czech football players. Not surprisingly, Patrik Schick and Tomas Soucek reign supreme. They are followed by Adam Hložek and Antonín Barák.
1. patrik Schick (€50 million)
As expected, Patrik Schick, who had a very successful season, is in first place. His current value stands at €50 million, and that amount has doubled during his time at Leverkusen. And no wonder. Schick is a mainstay and number one striker at the German club, and he very often decides matches in his team’s favour.
2. place – Tomas Soucek (€45 million)
Tomas Soucek is still a very hard-working midfielder and therefore quite a favourite with West Ham fans. He is very dangerous in the opposition’s sixteen, where he has already scored several goals with his head. On the market, his value is around 45 million euros.
3. – 4th place – Antonín Barák and Adam Hložek (€20 million)
Antonín Barák is a relatively experienced player at the age of twenty-seven and a mainstay of both Verona and the Czech national team. Hložek, on the other hand, is after his first big transfer when he headed from Sparta to Leverkusen, where he will wear the same jersey as Patrik Schick. Hložek has a really big future ahead of him, but it will depend on what kind of performance he puts in in the Bundesliga.
5. place – Vladimir Coufal (€12 million)
In fifth place is the Czech Republic’s most valuable defender, Vladimir Coufal. He plays alongside Soucek in West Ham colours, and although he struggled with injury during last season, he has very quickly returned to the starting line-up. In two seasons, he has appeared in seventy competitive games, which is a really impressive number considering that the club didn’t expect much from his arrival.
6. – 8th place – Tomáš Holeš, Alex Král, David Zima (€7 million)
The sixth place is shared by three players. Tomas Holeš became the most valuable player from the Czech league after Hložek’s departure. He is a defensive midfielder who is a constant and a mainstay of the Slavia line-up.
It seems that the hectic period for Alex Kral is finally over. The young midfielder, who left West Ham and subsequently suspended his contract with Spartak Moscow, has headed to Schalke in Germany. Here he should get more space on the pitch and return to his former form.
The third player is only 21-year-old stopper Zima. He has made an incredible rise at Slavia, from where he headed to Turin playing Serie A. Zima has also worked his way into the national team and could have a big future.
9. – 11th place – Pavel Kadeřábek, Jan Kuchta, Ladislav Krejčí (€5 million)
Also in ninth place are three players who are equally valued at €5 million. Pavel Kadeřábek is a very experienced back who has a demanding style of play. At the age of 30, he is still playing in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim, where he arrived in the summer of 2015.
Jak Kuchta has improved his performance considerably in recent months. However, the hard-working striker has rather aroused interest among the public with his transfer to Sparta, which is especially badly received by the fans of Slavia. He had already played in Eden before, where he was a very popular player among the fans of the Sešiovans.
Ladislav Krejci Jr. is supposed to be the main face of the new Sparta, and that is why he was also elected captain. Krejci is still twenty-three years old, but he commands respect on the pitch, as he is not afraid to get tough in a duel. However, he is a very talented footballer.
