Ramos coming to PSG? I wasn’t offered a two year contract at his age. I feel worthless, admits Thiago Silva
Thiago Silva has made an indelible mark among PSG legends. However, the Chelsea defender did not have a happy parting with the Parisian side. In fact, he hinted as much now when he complained about the transfer of Sergio Ramos.
Thiago Silva has made an indelible mark among PSG legends. However, the Chelsea defender did not have a happy parting with the Parisian side. In fact, he hinted as much now when he complained about the transfer of Sergio Ramos.
He can rejoice in the Champions League title with Chelsea London, however, he feels disappointed and sad. Thiago Silva isn’t exactly thrilled about Sergio Ramos’ arrival at PSG.
The transfer itself doesn’t worry him. What bothers him is the fact that Ramos signed a two-year contract with the Parisian club, while Silva ended up at the club precisely because no one offered him a multi-year deal.
“Sergio is as old now as I was last year when I left the club. Nobody offered me a two-year contract,” Silva said in an interview with ESPN Brazil.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone about it because I’m really disappointed. I feel like I haven’t done anything for PSG. I was there for 8 years, not 8 months or days. I helped PSG get to the level it is today,” the Brazilian stopper explained why the whole situation has made him so sad.
“I want PSG to continue winning and being successful. It’s a club that deserves all the respect. But in light of this, I’m sad. Itcould have been done differently,” Silva concluded his statement.
