Rakic fires again into his opponent: Jiri Prochazka is a fake samurai, he shouldn’t put on a front, but the UFC loves it

Jiří Procházka will be back in action in two months and will want to make up for his hesitation from the title fight with Alex Pereira. This time he will have an unpleasant change from the previous fight. His next opponent, Aleksandar Rakic, will verbally attack him, something he has already started doing long before the scheduled fight. And now he continues.

Jiri Prochazka will be back in action in two months and will want to make up for his hesitation from the title fight with Alex Pereira. This time he will have an unpleasant change from the previous fight. His next opponent, Aleksandar Rakic, will verbally attack him, something he has already started doing long before the scheduled fight. And now he continues.

In November he fought for the title, unfortunately unsuccessful. He got carried away and his opponent took advantage of it. So Jiri Prochazka didn’t turn his second title shot in the UFC into a second success. Unfortunately. He’s still only 31 years old, in his prime. Another opportunity will come.

To get there soon, he’ll have to beat the brash Aleksandar Rakic. The Austrian with Serbian roots is a great professional. No easy opponent. Besides, he’s not afraid of a rattlesnake and likes to lean into his opponents now and then.

In fact, he’s leaned into BJP pretty much ever since the Moravian samurai came to the UFC from Rizin. Moreover, once his opponent from the January tournament dropped out, he pointed to the South Moravian native as the replacement he’s been craving.

For a while, there were discussions about the date. The two fighters couldn’t agree. But in the end, it worked out about as well as it could. Jiri Prochazka and Aleksandar Rakic will fight at the UFC 300 anniversary gala, which is a great honor for both of them.

Not too long ago, Rakic rated his opponent as a fighter. He revealed some of his weaknesses. But in one of his last interviews, he took a swipe at the samurai image.

Jiri Prochazka is a fake samurai, says Rakic

“Jiri is a fake samurai. He has only been living it for the last few years. The UFC loves this stuff, so he shows up with a sword and beats on a tree and stuff like that. A few years ago he didn’t even know who the samurai were. Did you hear the story of how he became a samurai? His coach gave him a book, he read it and became a samurai. That’s a joke, right? He shouldn‘t pretend, but it’s his business,” Aleksandar Rakic expressed in an interview with Michael Bisping.

“I don’t believe him, but if he’s found some inner peace because of it, then good for him. Apparently he wasn’t that calm when he was younger. I heard he used to fight in bars and was a hooligan. We live about two hours apart, so I hear a lot of things,” he revealed.

“You have friends, they have friends who have friends who know him and stuff. I don’t know anything for sure, but nobody just makes up stories like that,” the Austrian with Serbian roots who lives in Vienna concluded the topic.
